Project Overview

  • Youth in low-income neighborhoods are 4x less likely to play sports and 6x more likely to quit due to barriers
  • NACC’s mission is to create equal opportunities for participation in education, sports and wellness programming historically reserved for affluent communities
  • 152,333 SF of indoor space for sports, education and wellness
    • Additional outdoor space
  • Continuum of activities from cradle to mature adults
    • Daily drop-in sports for youth, e.g. soccer, futsal and basketball
    • Mom and me classes, pickleball, indoor walking and fitness classes
    • Over 100 hours weekly of activities free of charge for the community
  • Professional-level basketball, soccer, baseball, volleyball and futsal camps, leagues and academies available for youth of all ages
    • All fees are sliding-scale to ensure neighborhood access
  • Tournaments and leagues on late nights/weekends to generate revenue to scholarship community activities
  • Multi-purpose room and By The Hand Club classrooms available for community use
  • By The Hand will scholarship after-school for 400 children, K-12th grade
